That is my 10 year old nephew.

He was hit this morning by a bread truck when my sister and the family was on vacation in the keys. My Brother-in-law was going to take my three nephews fishing, but when they went to cross the street to get to the fishing spot, my nephew (Patrick) ran ahead and was hit by a truck. He was airlifted to Miami Children's Memorial Hospital. He's in critical condition right now, with two broken legs, a broken arm, fractured ribs, a broken pelvis, a dent in his skull, lacerations all over his face, internal bleeding in his lungs and in his brain, and he lost a kidney. The doctors are concerned about brain damage and there is talk about putting a shunt in his head. Please, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. ):

UPDATE: JUNE 22ND

The shunt has been removed, and for a while he looked like he was doing fine but my sister called today and said that he now has a fever, an air pocket has developed in his lung, and the kidney he has left has stopped working. ):

We were just informed that Patrick has contracted the Swine Flu AND Pneumonia, and his younger brother Mark, is now being tested for swine flu as well because he has a high fever.

My dad visited him in the hospital a couple days ago, and came back, and today my brother started complaining that he doesn't feel well, so we are worried that he might ALSO have the swine flu, which means potentially, through contact of infected and healthy, my whole family could have the swine flu... including me.
